Una filastrocca crudele, per una storia di successo e teatralmente arcinota. Rimane comunque un giallo classico, con una trama appassionante e personaggi tipicamente british: la signora Boyle, il maggiore Metcalf, il sergente Trotter, che sa una cosa sola: l'assassino è accanto...
Torbay-Torquay - Agatha Christie
Di solito i romanzi gialli non mi prendono molto, meglio un thriller da battere i denti. Questo tuttavia è elegante, tecnicamente è una sceneggiatura intrigante, ed è veramente delizioso a teatro.
RispondiElimina... tre topolini ciechi, guarda come corrono.... tre note per un racconto bello da leggere e ameno da vedere a teatro. Tralasciando le migliaia di repliche a Londra, se vi è possibile andate a vedere la rappresentazione teatrale che in questi giorni gira per l'Emilia: ne vale la pena
RispondiEliminaMi piace tantissimo Agatha Christie, tra volumi ed oscar mondadori penso di averli tutti, o quasi... Di questo ne ho due, e curiosamente uno è intitolato Trappola per Topi, sceneggiatura teatrale, e l'altro Tre topolini ciechi, lungo racconto. Entrambi belli, eleganti, perfetti come trama, come logica, come suspance.
RispondiEliminaA me piace miss Marple, il suo alter ego, mentre trovo poirot un po' pomposo. tuttavia mi piacciono molto anche gli altri gialli, tra cui questo. Ross
RispondiEliminaTrappola per topi... la locanda sommersa di neve, il sergente che arriva con gli sci, la coppia non ancora collaudata nella fiducia... bella storia, non indugia troppo nel passato e cerca il lieto fine, ma è piacevole da leggere.

RispondiEliminaThe Mouse trap takes place in the great hall of a manor in the british country, which has been converted into a hotel. Several guests arrive and when they are all there a police sergenat comes on skis because, he explains, the manor is now completely isolated by the snow.
RispondiEliminaHe says that a woman was murdered that afternoon in London.Near the body the police had found a piece of paper with two adresses: one of the murdered woman and the other was the address of the manor. The police believe that the murderer has come to the manor and intends to kill someone else there. The sergeant has been sent to protect them and try to discover the dangerous murderer who, it's clear, is one of the people in the hotel. Could it be the nice young husband and wife who run the hotel? Or the strange young man with glasses? Or the angry old lady?Or the friendly Major? Or the reserved girl who has come from Majorca? Or the strange foreigner? Everybody suspects everybody else.
At a certain moment the lights go out and when they come on again, the cross old lady is found murdered. The suspence grows. From the policeman's interrogations, we learn that some of the characters were indirectly envolved, some years before, in a case of three orphan children who were very badly treated in a farm to which they had been sent. One of the three, a little boy, died as a result. The woman who was murdered in London was the mistress of the farm where the little boy died.
What has become of the remaining brother and sister? It must be one of these two who is killing to revenge the dead brother. A mysterious hand off stage play the little tune: "Three blind Mice", and everybody realizes that one other person has still to be killed. Who? By whom? As the tension becomes almost unbearable, the murderer is discovered.
And the killer is......
